WINGHAM Rifle Club’s championship round was shot at the 800-meter distance in excellent conditions. There was a consistent right to left breeze, some cloud cover and little mirage to contend with. As expected, the good conditions were reflected in overall high scores across all grades and disciplines.

Craig Laurie shot two good stages to nudge out his wife Suzi and take home the win in F standard B-grade with a total of 107 and four centres. Andrew Geary was too good for Max Purnell in target rifle B-grade while Tony Galati shot two excellent stages in F standard A-grade over Robert Bartlett.
Christina Adams for the second consecutive week posted the highest off gun score across the F class divisions and grades with two consistent stages of 57 with two centres and 57 to complete the day with a tally of 114 and 2 centres. Adams also took home the trophy for the handicap event of the afternoon.
Next week shooters move to the 800 yard range.
