A SafeWork NSW spokesperson also confirmed three improvement notices and two prohibition notices were issued to the principal contractor (AW Edwards) and crane business (Manning Valley Cranes) involved.
This was in relation to licencing and work health and safety for the use of cranes at the site.
“SafeWork NSW also directed the crane business to have the crane inspected,” the spokesperson said.
“All notices have been compiled and SafeWork NSW’s investigation remains ongoing.”
Despite the incident, the project to build a new multi-level car park for the hospital was successfully completed in August this year.
A man in his 40s suffered a broken leg in the incident after falling from the crane.
