It's post-modern (even futuristic), diverse, abstract, both literal and fantastical, there are obvious Picasso influences, and above all - it's colourful and happy.

This is a Manning Regional Art Gallery exhibition event you won’t want to miss.
More than 300 of the region's tiniest artists will exhibit at the gallery in the 11th annual Children's Week Art Exhibition coordinated by Child Care Services Taree and Districts, with a glitzy launch event on Thursday, October 19 at 6pm.
"This is one of the largest number of young artists we've ever included in one exhibition at the gallery," art gallery director, Rachel Piercy said. "The range and depth of the work is vast and gives us an insight into the future of artistic endeavour in our region.
"I challenge any exhibition visitor to view these amazing works and not walk away with a smile - having been transformed by a unique view of the world, and other imaginative worlds, through the eyes of these artists," Rachel said.
All works are professionally catalogued and offered for sale, at $5 per canvas. Proceeds go towards next year's exhibition costs.
The launch event is open to everyone, especially art buyers, to attend. Each artist receives a certificate of appreciation and a photograph of their art work.
Refreshments and children's activities will follow the official opening.
A large number of the artists themselves will be in attendance. One or two may even display their artistic temperaments before the opening night is over.
All works will be on exhibition during gallery hours until Sunday, November 5. For further enquiries and to book to attend the launch, please contact Child Care Services Taree and District on 6552 5088.
