Campbell took over as skipper four seasons ago and has steered United to the Manning first grade premiership each campaign since.
However, he’ll face a more difficult task this summer, with United now part of the premier league that will involve nine clubs from the Manning, Hastings and Macleay associations. The competition will start on Saturday, with United to host Port Panthers at Chatham Park.
Campbell is also a member of the Taree Wildcats Football Mid North Coast Premier League side during the winter.
He’ll be the guest on Friday Sport Talk on the Manning River Times Facebook page this week from around 1.30. He’ll be looking at United’s prospects in the cricket premier league and also reflect on Taree’s Football Mid North Coast Premier League campaign.
