Wendy will compete in the Senior B division after first featuring in the Auroras squad in 2015.
Frank will make his debut in the Senior C division.
Both were chosen following selection trials held last year. Since that time, they have had to maintain a strict training plan that tested their endurance, strength and speed.
Frank said the team’s coaches have them fit and ready to compete.
“They've got a system called Motion Master that records the type of stroke you do, the distance and time you've done.
"The people that are down there are full on and fully fit.
The coaches said it is probably one of the fittest teams we've had for a long time,” Frank said.
Wendy added that Canada and America will be the teams to beat in the championships.
The team was given more time to prepare as the event was original slated for mid-August.
Great Lakes Pearl Dragons president Denise Marr said the duo have a positive influence on the club.
"The rest of our paddlers see their grit and determination and it inspires them,” she said.
