Mulloway have been on the bite in the lead up to the full moon. Three fish of 15 to 18kgs and seven fish of 5kg to 6kg were landed.
Soft plastics have taken most of the fish.
Bream, luderick and flathead have continued to bite well. Flathead will get better in the next couple of months.
Whiting are still being caught in the lagoon on worms and yabbies. Beam have turned up on the southern end of Crowdy beach taking worms pippies and mullet strips.
The Garry Chapman Memorial Deep Sea Fishing Championship held at Crowdy Head turned up a lot of species (see photos)
Snapper were the most prolific with the best fish of 8kgs.
Kingfish to 8kgs and bar cod to 7kgs were also landed.
Trevally, mowong, pearl perch and flathead made up the rest of the fish entered for weigh-in.
The event attracted anglers from up and down the coast.
