The day was moved to team up with the Taree Gold Cup on Sunday, August 21, making the event a bigger one than usual on the Taree calendar.
The Taree Wingham Race Club joined with the Manning River Times in what looks to be a positive partnership for Crazy Days to come.
Chairman of the Race Club, Greg Coleman said he was happy with the promotion, describing it as a success, and he hopes it was for the retailers as well.
He says he is happy for it to continue and will talk to Manning River Times management in due course.

Hundreds of people took the opportunity to take the offers of free tickets to the Taree Gold Cup meeting on the Sunday through promotions involved with Crazy Day.
“This would have been more had the weather been kinder,” Mr Coleman said.
Retailers were concerned at the slow start on Saturday morning, but the pace soon picked up once junior sporting fixtures were over.
“We had a mixed response, unfortunately,” said Times sales manager Kelly Payne.
Kelly said that Margaret’s Underfashions reported they had a better than normal Crazy Day, but some retailers weren’t entirely happy. However surf shops, and the free kids’ entertainment at Taree Central were extremely popular.
Comments in the positive centred around the ability for workers and school children to attend.
Manning River Times multimedia consultant, Amanda Vardy had a surprising phone call from chief inspector of Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command.
“She called me and said ‘thank you so much for changing it to Saturday!” Amanda said.
The change of day meant less truancy of school aged children trying to bag a bargain, and made for a very different feel to the day.
“There were so many more families and kids,” Amanda said.
