Pre-polling is available from Monday August 28 until Friday September 8, from the following locations:
- Taree - Manning Uniting Church 29 Albert Street
- Forster - Stocklands Shop 16 (formerly Vast Interior Building)
- Gloucester - Council Chambers, Railway Street
- Raymond Terrace - 72 Port Stephens Street
- Sydney Town Hall - 483 George Street
Pre-Poll venue opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday September 8 extends to 6pm), Saturdays 9am to 5pm, closed Sundays.
Applications to apply for a postal vote can be found on the Vote NSW website and must be received by 5pm Monday September 4.
Voting is compulsory, so to avoid a penalty make sure you arrange to vote, even if you can’t do it on the day.
MidCoast Council is one of 46 councils across NSW going to the polls to decide who will best represent them for the next three years.
The region is a community of more than 90,000, spread over 10,000km2.
The council operates a $320million per year business that looks after 3200km of roads, 542 bridges and 3000 hectares of open space.
The council will be made up of 11 councillors, including the mayor and deputy mayor who are elected to the positions by the elected councillors.
