Challenge to Taree business community to back Riverbank Stage Project

The kitty for the Taree Riverbank Stage Project holds $52,300 and it is hoped Manning Valley businesses will now rally to kick in cash to boost the bank balance to $100,000.

Project committee members recently celebrated a $50,000 windfall after MidCoast Council approved its application for Stronger Communities funding, boosting donations received during its crowd funding campaign on ReadyFundGo. The goal now is to try to boost the bank balance to $100,000 and project director Ken Raison is challenging the business community to pledge funds and says “one prominent real estate agent has already pledged $500.”
