This was one of the better and most exciting PSSA games played for some time in Saxby’s Stadium with both teams battling hard for supremacy.
Forster was ahead 9-8 at the end of the first quarter, then Taree West fought back to claim the lead 16-14 at the long break. The defence lifted in the second half with both teams struggling to find the basket and at the end of the third quarter it was Taree West still with a two point advantage. The points really dried up in the race to the final siren and with each team scoring just two points in this period Taree West held on to claim the win 24-22.
