The hospitality class had the opportunity to experience the many and varied aspects of the hospitality industry, according to year 12 student co-ordinator Karen McCann.
“It was an interesting and at times tiring experience, which provided quite an insight into how many different occupations can be involved in the running of a major resort,” Mrs McCann said.
Sea World Resort awarded Ruby Jones the Star Performer Award.
Karen said it was a “very great pleasure” to accompany the students to support the mandatory work placement component of Vocation Education and Training (VET) courses.
“Each student is required to complete 70 hours of work placement over the two years of their nominated course.”
