Break-in and theft from school
Unfortunately, the Lansdowne School has had two break-ins over the past week.

The police are working to find their stolen property and school security is sending security patrols to monitor the school out of hours and over the weekend.
Ten laptop computers have been stolen along with two iPads. The loss of this equipment impacts the learning of the students.
If anyone has any information that could help to recover any of the stolen equipment please contact Taree Police. It is important that if you notice anyone in the school grounds you think should not be there please contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or the School Security Unit on 1300 880 021.
Walk Safety to School Day
The Lansdowne School will be participating in Walk Safely to School Day on Thursday, May 25.
On this day, they will be having a walking bus to collect students as they are walking to school.
The aim of the day is to highlight to students the importance of road safety. They will be practising how to cross a road safely and walking responsibly to school.
They will meet at school at 8.30am for anyone who would like to join them from the start. They will then walk around the block and back to school.
On return from their walk they will be having a special breakfast. Everyone is welcome to join them on their walk and for breakfast.
School awards
Lansdowne School awards were presented to the following students at their school assembly.
Class K/1/2: Student of the week was Kamirya Whyte. Kamirya received her award for having a wonderful start to the term. Class awards to Clayton Radley for his homework. Rhys Currie for being a superstar skip counter. Fast Maths award went to Christopher Morrison for improving his score by four. Artist award to Edward Golden for his Life Cycles.
Class 3/4: Student of the week was Casey Fletcher for being a kind, caring and hardworking member of class 34. Class awards went to Kiara Guerin for completing all her work to the best of her ability. William Bell for working hard to complete his tasks. Keep up the good work Will. Fast maths award to Lachlan Callaghan for always striving to succeed in Fast Maths.
Class 5/6: Student of the week Kaila Morrison for being a quiet steady worker in class. Class awards went to Indira Reddie for a wonderful power point presentation of life cycles. Hayley Callaghan for great writing about “My special Place”. Fast Maths award to Suvannah Bell for being the most improved last week. Artist award to Maddison Gaul for drawing cartoon characters of Jamal and Bibi.
Dinner and a show
The Upper Lansdowne Theatre and Dinner night is on tomorrow evening Saturday, May 20 at the Upper Lansdowne Hall commencing at 7pm and the matinee with afternoon tea is on Sunday, May 21 commencing at 2.30pm. Check out their Facebook page or their web page for further details.
Biggest morning teas
The Upper Lansdowne Craft group are holding their Biggest Morning Tea next Thursday, May 25 at the Upper Lansdowne hall. The morning commences at 10am. Everyone welcome.
The Lansdowne School will be holding their Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday, June 1 at the school. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
