Taree Toastmasters Club, which trains its members in public speaking, has won a print media award against 152 other clubs at the District 90 annual conference held recently in Sydney.

Toastmasters District 90 covers clubs throughout the northern half of NSW, from Parramatta to the Queensland border.
Colin Steber, of Taree, accepted the award on behalf of the club. He thanked the Manning River Times for its support.
“The Times has published stories about half a dozen of our club achievements over the past year – and it is these articles which won us the award,” he said.
Director of Toastmasters’ Area 5 Colin is planning the 50th anniversary celebrations of Taree Club to be held next April.
