A MAN has been charged following a car accident on Wingham Road at about 3.20pm Monday, May 15.

According to police, the 31-year-old driver was travelling west at 100kph, when the vehicle allegedly veered to the incorrect side of the road while attempting a bend.
It is alleged the driver saw another car travelling in the opposite direction and he over-corrected, hitting an embankment.
Police received a number of calls and attended, speaking to the driver. As a result they searched his vehicle and allegedly discovered a quantity of cannabis.
Police allege the man was a disqualified driver.
The driver was taken to Manning Hospital for blood and urine testing.
He was charged with disqualified driving and drug related matters and was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Taree Local Court on June 20.
