Taree Local Collectors’ Club Antiques Collectables Fair will fill the Taree PCYC on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
The Taree PCYC will be the major benefactor of the fair this year along with local charities.
There will be a wide variety of wares from people of the Manning and afar.
At Taree Local Collectors’ Club most recent meeting examples of these interesting finds was given my members in their regular ‘Show and Tell’.
Members brought in an assortment of items from collectable spoons and marble balls to interesting hub caps and telescopic instruments.
In a video with the Manning River Times Ken Billings asks viewers “do you understand the importance of being a collector?”
“If it wasn’t for having collectors we would have very little in our museums. Most of the good stuff in there has been collected by people over the years and bequeathed to the museums,” Ken said.
“So come along and take an interest in collecting. Show us what you have and we’d be only to pleased to meet you.”
Entry to the fair is $5, under 12 years are free with accompanying adults.
For enquiries contact Ken on 6556 3015 or mobile 0425 733 571, or Lina on 6552 5080.
