Station commander Peter Willard said a member of the community contacted the brigade on Friday morning and reported the facade was ‘wobbling’ in the wind.
After inspecting the building Commander Willard confirmed there was a ‘potential’ for collapse and the brigade immediately set about barricading the footpath in front of the building in deteriorating weather.
The property’s owner was contacted along with MidCoast Council and Commander Willard said the property would be secured.
