Taree Showgirl entrant: Georgia Hardes

TAREE Showgirl entrant Georgia Hardes cherishes the time she spent growing up on a cattle farm at Langley Vale.

She fondly remembers running under the cattle and going out to the bull paddock to play with the bulls.

“I absolutely loved it.”

Now living at Lansdowne she said she would move back to a farm “any day”.

The 18-year-old attended Chatham High School and completed her Year 10 school certificate in 2010 before working full time at Terry White Chemists.

She is now training at Karingal Gardens to be an assistant in nursing.

“I love it. I want to work up to do my RNs (registered nurse).”

She enjoys working with people and said she’s especially fond of the elderly.

Georgia had her first taste of nursing when she did work placement at Manning Hospital while she was at school.

She enjoyed the experience immensely and feels lucky she was selected for this opportunity at Karingal Gardens.

In addition she is a fully qualified make up artist.

Georgia was named after her great grandfather George, but her name also fittingly means ‘little farm girl’.

When she was younger she entered the Lansdowne Showgirl quest a couple of times and really enjoyed the experience.

She is enthusiastic and excited about being part of Taree Show.

“I’m just a bit excited. It’s something new and I’m excited to meet new people,” she said.
