The school has a new bus service to cater for its 104 students.
The Harrington school bus service was launched recently courtesy of Eggins Bus Coaches.
Harrington Public School teacher Andrea Burrows said the bus was a welcome addition for the school.
"It's really great because a lot of parents find it hard to drop off their kids at 9am and pick them up at 3pm," she said.
"It's really different and strange to see the bus at the front of the school, and it's so exciting because for a lot of our children they have probably never travelled on a bus.
"We've been looking forward to it for a long time."
Year six student Jorja McMahon was pleased the bus service had arrived at her school.
"I think it's a good thing as a lot of our students live far away," she said.
"It's going to make m um happy because she doesn't have to drop me off anymore."
Harrington Public School principal Renai Woodward said the bus service would be an essential asset.
"A lot of parents had an issue with dropping off their kids at 9am and picking them up at 3pm due to work commitments," she said.
"There was a huge need for the service. We've been desperate for the service for a long time and that's been reflected in the number of students using it as we've had a full bus."
