Port has 25 points and sits in third place. Old Bar and Wingham follow on 24.
The Pirates will be favoured to beat Taree City as will Wingham over Forster-Tuncurry. Next Saturday Port plays Port City and on form should get the points.
This means Port will go into the last match on 28 points with Old Bar and Wingham on 27.
The winner of the Sharks/Pirates clash would grab third place. Wingham plays Port City at Port and victory here would ensure the Tigers are fourth.
However should Old Bar and Port draw their game and Wingham win then Port and Wingham would finish equal on 30. The Sharks currently have a far superior points differential than Wingham and this would be unlikely to change unless Wingham scores massive wins in the next two outings. So Port would then be third.
Meanwhile the minor premiership and the home ground advantage for the major semi-final will be decided next weekend when leaders Wauchope play second placed Macleay Valley.
The Blues have a two point advantage over the Mustangs.
Group Three's semi-final series will start the weekend of August 23/24 with the grand final on Sunday September 14.
