A story advising people of an impending information meeting regarding the initiative garnered a huge response on the Manning River Times Facebook page and the momentum kept going on to the meeting on Tuesday evening.
By all reports the meeting went well with plenty of people putting their hand up to get involved and lots of ideas and feedback coming through.
It was decided that the markets will be called the 'Night Bazaar on Victoria Street' and at this stage November is looking like the month for the inaugural event.
The next meeting for planning and feedback will be held on July 17, with a venue to be confirmed.
Anyone wanting more information or to lend your feedback, thoughts and ideas can visit the newly created Facebook page - 'Night Bazar' (note spelling) or contact Gabriel Omid Darzi at The Sicilian Restaurant, who is driving the project.
