Library patrons will be able to read, interact with and explore the latest magazines just by using their library card.
The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and borrowers can download a wide range of popular magazines to view on their smartphone, tablet or computer.
The new digital magazine service is another excellent example of local library cooperation.
Patrons will have access to twice the number of titles thanks to a joint initiative between Great Lakes Library Service and Manning Valley Libraries.
"The download process is really user friendly," Chris Jones, manager library services at Great Lakes said.
"We've chosen such a variety of current titles that we're sure there will be something for everybody."
"One of the great features of Zinio is that each magazine has unlimited availability," said Margie Kirkness, senior leader cultural services. "It's pretty exciting to think you won't ever have to wait to read the latest issue of your favourite magazine again!"
To access the new online magazine service, go to your library's web site and follow the Zinio instructions. Titles can either be streamed live or downloaded to your device via the Zinio app.
Customers can use their PC, Mac, Android, Windows 8, iPad or other mobile device to read their magazines.
