Acclaimed comedians Damian Callinan and Mickey D will be roving the Manning collecting material for their brilliantly conceived show Road Trip, playing at the Manning Entertainment Centre next Wednesday, July 2.
The dynamic duo have been touring Australia taking their unique brand of town profiling both off the beaten track and on it, and we're next!
Damo and Mikey are elite comedy commandoes: dropping out of the sky to surgically locate the local funny before being winched out for the next mission.
Through their eyes you'll see how they've spent their time in town before bursting onto the stage with a celebratory roast.
The lads have only two days to steal the keys to our town and discover secrets only a local would know.
With the help of award winning documentary film-maker Charlie Hill-Smith, 48 hours becomes 90 minutes of hilarity.
Mickey and Damo will reveal the good, the bad and the funny of the Manning and you'll wish you'd brought in your washing.
But they need your help to do it.
They choose where to go, who to meet and what to do based on a survey that we're asking you to fill out, and it's not too late to have your say. You can go online to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Taree and reveal all about the best and worst of Taree and beyond, and they're even asking to be set a challenge while they're here.
They've swum with the Willi Dolphins in Williamstown's chilly waters, raced Steve Moneghetti and "got up the towers" in Ballarat and what they do in Taree is limited only by your imagination.
Get 'em to milk a cow the old fashioned way, set them an oyster shucking challenge, dare them to walk the streets of Taree at pub closing time and survive!
All suggestions welcome, and you could win prizes if your suggestion is used.
Any classic photos of locals or events? They'd love to see them.
Go to their "Road Trip with Damian Callinan and Mickey D" facebook page to check out their shenanigans so far, and submit photos marked 'Taree' or call the Manning Entertainment Centre on 6592 5466 and we'll pass them on.
These makers of mayhem were delighting Australian audiences long before they teamed up for Road Trip with Damian Callinan most recently visiting the Manning last year when he starred in the absurd and hilarious The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), a wacky three man show that covered the A to Z of the Bard.
He's appeared on the small screen in skitHOUSE, Good Morning Australia and The Fat to name a few and he's a regular at comedy festivals around the country, teaming up with the likes of Frank Woodley, Tripod, Peter Helliar and Cal Wilson.
Since storming the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2000 Mickey D has performed across the UK, throughout Europe and the States and acquired an impressive list of TV and radio credits.
He won Best Comedy Award at the Adelaide International Festival and has wowed them in the UK, with The Edinburgh Evening News saying: "His material is all delivered with such bawling gusto that it's a joy to take in" and he's completed the grand slam of international festivals - Adelaide, Melbourne, Auckland, Montreal and now his 7th Edinburgh festival.
Don't miss your chance to put Taree in the spotlight in the funniest way.
Get online and fill out the survey, and get along to the Manning Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, July 2 at 8pm for a rollicking good time with these two masters of taking the mickey.
The locals around Australia are calling it "Hilarious from start to finish!" Look out for their roving Tarago, and if you see them say gidday.
You might end up in the show.
