Davis was cited by the group's match review committee after they viewed a video of the incident involving Wingham centre Tim Bridge and charged with a high tackle.
Davis was successful in having his charge downgraded from serious to high level.
His Macleay Valley team-mate, centre Nigel Hookey received a caution on a kicking charge. The judiciary ruled that his action was accidental.
Meanwhile Taree City has forfeited Saturday's reserve grade match to Old Bar, citing a lack of players through injury and unavailability.
The first grade game will now start at 2.30.
