Despite naming her favourite swimming stroke as butterfly, Jayden qualified for the finals of freestyle by coming second in her first heat, and then finishing fourth overall in her age group.
Jayden said that while she used to do squad training and had a personal coach at one stage, she trained herself with help from her dad, Harry. She also participates in Nippers.
Jayden says she's been swimming for the past five years, and that hockey and swimming are her favourite sports.
She's also a good cross country runner, coming in 18th place out of 70 competitors at last Friday's zone cross country meet at Wingham.
However she said that her older siblings were the better runners in the family, and that she was the swimmer.
