Buoyant from their Knights Cup victory last month at Salamander Bay, the Group Three side boasts 10 Taree based players.
The boys travelled to Sawtell last week and defeated Group One and Two in another impressive display.
With the side fully fit and back to full strength for this weekend's tournament it is hoped the side will go well.
Jake Hazard from the Taree RSL Red Rovers will captain the side with Matt Croker from the Taree Panthers vice captain. Both are in outstanding form and key players in the side.
This is Wesley's second year as coach of this Group Three team. Last year they came close to winning the championships, but were beaten by Newcastle in the final. This year he and the team hopes to go one better.
The Country Championship are being held at the Port Macquarie Regional Stadium this Saturday and Sunday.
The Under 15s play their first match on Saturday at noon. It's hoped that there will be a good home crowd support.
