Trembath was unavailable last year but declared at the group season launch night that he was prepared to play again, with the match against Group Two to be played at his home ground. His cousin, Phil Trembath, is the coach.
Kurt Lewis from Old Bar has been named at fullback despite playing lock for the Pirates while Tim Bridge from Wingham has been named in the centres. Bridge, who has only played a handful of first grade games, scored four tries against Port Macquarie last week. His brother, Matt, is on the bench.
Newcomers Macleay Valley provide three representatives, prop Steven Walker, second rower Sam Howe and interchange player Richard Roberts. Macleay's Country representative halfback Anthony Cowan completes a suspension this week. However, he remains in dispute with Queensland club Eastern Suburbs. He signed with the club in the off-season before deciding to stay in Kempsey. The club has since placed him on a defaulter's list, meaning he can't play until this is resolved.
Old Bar captain-coach Danny Russell has been named halfback. He played for Group Two last year when he was at Sawtell.
For the first time in years Forster-Tuncurry doesn't have a player in the squad.
The team is: Kurt Lewis (Old Bar); Tristram Morris (Port City), Tim Bridge (Wingham), Beau White (Wauchope), Sam Watts (Wauchope); Nick McCabe (Wauchope), Danny Russell (Old Bar); Steve Walker (Macleay), Dean Hurrell (Wauchope), Mitch Fowler (Port City), Kurt Maloney (Port Macquarie), Sam Howe (Macleay), Robert Trembath (Wauchope captain). Interchange Matt Bridge (Wingham), Carlos Kohu-Martin (Wauchope), Tim Alliston (Taree City), Richard Roberts (Macleay), Joel Asher (Port Macquarie-18th).
The team will train at the Taree Recreation Centre on May 7 and Wauchope on May 14. Both sessions start at 6.30pm.
