The NSW Barefoot Skiing Championships will start at 'The Barge' at Taree West on Saturday.
Manning Ski Club will have eight competitors in action. Skiing will start at 9am.
Lower North Coast Rugby Union clubs will take part in the annual gala day at the Trad Complex, with the first game at 9am Saturday. All six LNC clubs along with Mid North Coast powerhouse Port Pirates will be involved.
Manning Cycle Club's road season continues at the Central Lansdowne course at 2pm while Taree Greyhound Club has a 12 event program starting from 1.05pm at the Kanangra Drive track on Saturday. This leads into the club's big Easter carnival.
Football Mid North Coast Premier League kicks off on Saturday. Locally there'll be games at Old Bar, where the Barbarians host Camden Haven and Wingham where the Warriors will meet Taree Wildcats. Reserve grade kicks off at 1.15 with first grade at 3pm.
Old Bar Pirates and Port Macquarie Sharks will play rugby league trials in all grades at Old Bar Reserve from noon on Saturday while former internationals Max Krilich and Robbie O'Davis will be special guests at a function hosted by the Pirates at Club Old Bar from 7.30pm.
More than 20 teams will be involved in the men's over 50s State hockey championships at Taree Recreation Centre this weekend. Semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday.
Taree Tornadoes junior basketball representative teams head to Tamworth for the second round of the Waratah Northern Junior League.
Wingham Golf Club's open day will be played on Sunday.
Around 50 teams of two will contest the second round of the Gamakatsu Bream Series on Sunday. Boats head off from Endeavour Place from 7am with weigh-in at 2pm.
Saltwater Boardriders Club will host the second contest of the season on Sunday. Surfers will meet at Old Bar at 7am to determine the venue for surfing.
And looking slightly ahead Taree Aquatic Powerboat Club is gearing for the Easter Classic, where racing will start on Easter Saturday.
