United captain Ricky Campbell won the toss and elected to bat. This proved to be the correct call with United compiling 242. Couch top scored with 65, including six boundaries and a six. Campbell made 48 and Josh Ferris 36 while the last pair, Tom Burley and Jackson Witts featured in a handy partnership of 28.
Brad Staff with 4/56 was the most successful bowler.
Wingham replied with 202. Staff had a good allround game, top scoring with 46 for Wingham while Carr took 5/53 for United.
