BETHANY MacDonald from Harrington has been named in the Hunter PSSA basketball side to contest State championships in Albury from May 19 to May 23.

And the Harrington community is getting behind the 11-year-old to ensure she gets to Albury. It'll cost her parents $1250 for the trip and Harrington Bowling Club is co-ordinating fund raising activities.
Bethany plays point guard and she was named in the Hunter side following trials held in Newcastle.
She's been playing basketball for three years. Bethany and her family moved to Harrington just before Christmas.
She now plays in the Taree junior competition on Tuesday afternoons and also in the primary school competition on Saturday mornings at Saxby's Stadium.
