This will start at 10am at the Claude Unicomb Reserve at Moorland with a barbecue and cutting of an anniversary cake from noon to 2.30, followed by afternoon tea.
A function will be held at the Moorland Hall that evening.
The club, known as The Devils was formed in 1974 when Geoff Tate attended a P and C meeting to ask parents if they were prepared to let their boys play soccer in the then Manning competition. From there an under 10s and 12s teams were formed.
Moorland school principal, John Cox, lent the teams two soccer balls. In the first year the 10s finished equal fourth and were beaten in a playoff for fourth 2-1 in extra time.
The side stayed together and eventually won the under 14s premiership. Steve Windred, Paul Windred, Mark Watts, Chris Chick and Rodney Mobbs were also selected to play in the Northern NSW titles.
