NAB bank and Eagle Boys Pizza Taree will be there with some great giveaways for the children participating and registrations for the new season, starting March 23, will be taken.
Taree AFL Auskick Centre is for boys and girls aged from 5 to 12 to come along and learn the fundamental skills and play a modified game of Australia Rules football. This is run by qualified coaches in a fun and safe learning environment.
The season registration is a one off fee of $85 which includes an Auskick pack, end of season trophy and insurance coverage. There are no weekly game fees and all sessions are held on the same day, Sundays, same time 9.45am-noon at the same venue Johnny Martin Oval Taree. There are no training nights, no uniforms to purchase and footy boots are optional.
A further session will be held at Tuncurry Athletics Oval on Sunday March 2.
"Last year we ended the season with 83 participants making Taree AFL Auskick Centre the largest centre in Northern NSW (Newcastle to the Queensland border),'' centre coordinator Julie McLachlan said.
"We have plans to establish a junior Australian Rules football club with an under 13s comp running we hope as early as this year.''
The centre has again allocated a game at the SCG during a Sydney Swans match.
