Lead by a NIDA tutor, the workshop will teach local young performers the art of musical theatre, developing their skills in vocal work, movement and song interpretation.
Theatre manager, Jeremy Miller said it was a wonderful opportunity for people who might one day see themselves on a professional stage.
"We know there is incredible talent on the Mid North Coast and there are performers who came from this area now working professionally in musical theatre around Australia," Jeremy said.
"It is important to ensure the next crop of talented young actors has access to Australia's best theatre training at workshops like this."
The success of local musicals such as Cabaret has lead to strong interest in musical theatre training and this workshop is expected to sell out.
People are encouraged to register quickly so they don't miss out.
The workshop is for people aged 15 to 18 years. Registrations and further information is available at www.gtcc.nsw.gov.au/bookonline, at Movies Games and More in Victoria St Taree or by calling 6552 5699.
