State under 16 representative fullback Latrell Mitchell has completed suspension and will be a definite starter for the Bulls in the clash against Forster-Tuncurry at Old Bar. Taree coach Doug Ferguson said Mitchell's elder brother, Shaq, will be given 'until the last second' to prove his fitness.
He has also served a suspension but is also recovering from surgery. If cleared Shaq will play in the back row with Latrell at fullback.
With both Mitchells missing the minor premiers went down to Wingham 24-18 in a tight contest in the major semi at Wauchope.
The Bulls led 12-6 at halftime but Ferguson said the side strayed from their structure in the second half and this led to their downfall.
He'll demand the Bulls stick to the game plan on Sunday.
Matches against Forster have been tight this year and Ferguson is expecting another torrid battle on Sunday. A number of Bulls, including Kane Allan, Ben Murray and Matt Taupe had extensive experience in first grade this season and Ferguson said this should benefit the side in what should be a close contest.
The Bulls are the defending premiers. Forster lost to Wingham in the opening week of the finals but were too strong for Port Sharks in the minor semi.
