The team, known as Diamond Elite, competed against some of Australia’s most established competitive cheerleading clubs and best cheerleading teams.
The team is classed as level three co-ed team and train at PCYC Taree under coaches Courtney Longa and Jakob Webber.
Courtney said the team’s hard work has paid off.
“Every member of this team is an amazing athlete in their own right.
“The passion they have for the sport is phenomenal.
“And what a year it’s been for Diamond Elite, competing at a regional, state and now national level and in doing so, securing a third place and two fourth placings is an amazing result and something that the team should all be very proud of.
“It is an absolute pleasure to coach them because they are all so driven, that even with nationals out of the way, they aren’t thinking about taking a break – they are already talking about next season.
“Watch this space, the sky is the limit for them,” Courtney said.
