Margaret and John Pryor, Mal and Chris Ladmore and Terry and Jan Dark gave the current membership some of the fundraising events of the past years of the long running club.
Old Bar Lions Club started mainly as a social group; however they were a dedicated group with a common goal to improve the facilities for locals and assisting specific groups in the community.
They had many fundraising ventures and assisted the Old Bar Community Preschool in its initial stages of development.
This assistance continues today and the Lions Club is very proud of its achievements.
The current members of the club very much enjoyed hearing about the early days of the club when Old Bar was a very different environment.
Our commitment however remains the same: “to serve”.
Old Bar may be different today, indeed growing and changing, but our need for support in the community continues.
Think about joining this vibrant and committed group.
You can give to the community as well as get so much back in terms of your own personal growth and self fulfillment.
The Lions meet at Club Old Bar on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7pm.
All are welcome. All enquiries call Ross or Robyn on 6553 7146.

Old Bar Poppy Project 2018
It's only two more weeks to Anzac Day so not much more time to assist with the white poppies.
If you would like to help your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Patterns for both knitted and crochet poppies can be collected free of charge at the CTC Old Bar (opposite Vinnies) and completed poppies can be dropped in there as well.
