The event will now be held on the weekend of April 14-15.
“It was a tough decision to make,” Cancer Council NSW Lower Mid North Coast community relations co-ordinator, Katie Mead said.
Although the rain is predicted to ease over the coming hours, organisers won’t have the lead in time to get everything set up, she said.
“And, the ground will be too wet.”
Katie acknowledged MidCoast Council for its assistance, and said “everyone worked well together” when the organising committee was making the decision whether to go ahead with this weekend’s event.
The raffle also had been rescheduled and would be drawn on Sunday, April 15.
This gives us additional time to sell more tickets, she said.
First prize was a mid-week stay for two at Harrigans, Hunter Valley with breakfast, Two Fat Blokes Gourmet winery tour for two and two Segway tour in the Hunter Valley.
Second, Anthony Murphy Panoramic glass print valued at $420.
Third, $150 Manning Shoes voucher, fourth, 2x adult dolphin watch cruise vouchers with Amaroo Cruises and fifth, Tuncurry Pharmacy Gift Pack valued at $80.
