Doctors told Danny there was only one millimetre difference from his accident being a nearly fatal, serious head injury.
It was reported at the time that a horn from the bull went into the helmet he was wearing.
The Wingham Show Society caught up with Danny as he returned to Wingham to collect his car and gear.
While in town he took a walk through the rodeo arena and re-lived the moment that became nationwide news.
There was also a nice surprise for Danny on his return.
The Wingham Show Society and Double C Saddlery from Wingham, joined forces and Double C Saddlery’s Shere Temple presented Danny with a $200 gift voucher towards a new helmet.
“A very generous voucher and support from one of our local businesses,” said Elaine Turner of the show society.
The Wingham Show Society also printed out all the well wishes that had been received for Danny via the Wingham Rodeo and Wingham Show social media pages.
Over 2100 people reacted to the posts, and Danny was overwhelmed by the thoughts and care that people had extended to him.
Danny told the show society that the messages had really helped him during his recovery this week. “Thank you to everyone who sent messages through and kept in touch with Danny,” added Elaine.
Danny said he will be back on the rodeo circuit as soon as possible.
