Police are investigating a serious crash near Taree which has left two teenagers in hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.

About 3.20pm Saturday, March 10, a Nissan Pulsar was travelling south on Crowdy Head Road, Crowdy Head, when it left he road and hit a tree.
As a result of the crash the 17-year-old male driver suffered concussion. He was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for a mandatory blood and urine sample.
The 17-year-old male passenger was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
Police from the Crash Investigation Unit are conducting inquiries into the crash.
Crowdy Head Road was closed for four and a half hours while inquiries were conducted.
