The team consists of Beau Williams, Connor Potts, Lachlan Callaghan and William Moss.
The school and the Lansdowne community are very proud of our local boys and wish them luck in Sydney.
The Lansdowne School student parliament for 2018 has been decided.
Molly Stuart is prime minister, and Connor Potts in deputy. The arts ministers are Kayla O’Connor and Quinn Huber, and education ministers are Caleb James and Shataeya Bell. Graham Morrison and Brendan James are environmental ministers, and William Moss is the community minister.
William has already taken on his first fundraising challenge as community minister, with a five cent challenge and a 10 cent challenge. Everyone is asked to bring in five and 10 cent coins to fill the container. It was great to see him showing such initiative in his new role.
Year six will also be collecting cans and plastic bottles as a fundraiser. If you can help by donating cans and bottles it would be much appreciated. If you are donating glass bottles these will need to be sent in by an adult.
A collection point is being set up near the rear car park.

Players’ autumn offering
The Upper Lansdowne Players are presenting two tailor made one act plays for their 2018 autumn season.
‘Last Tango in Upper Lansdowne’ features the four members of a consistently unsuccessful village theatre group, in debt and under threat of closure, who are so desperate that they agree to their chairman’s solution - “sex sells!”
And it does, spectacularly so, starring a certain player’s memorable mammaries… or at least one of them!
‘Last Panto in Upper Lansdowne’ is the sequel, and the group gets a second chance, almost avoiding the disaster of a musical, and aiming for an ‘adult’ pantomime based on the tale of Dick Whittington and his cat.
Double meanings tumble over the bleeding obvious, the horse, the cat, and the cast and of course end in catastrophe.
As this year the Upper Lansdowne Players are part of the Manning Winter Festival, they will be touring the show to other village halls after a shorter Upper Lansdowne season. This will consist of Saturday dinner shows on May 19 and 26, starting at 7pm, and Sunday matinees will be held on May 20 and 27, starting at 2.30pm.
The dinner shows must be seated by 7pm for a delicious three course meal and show BYO, and matinees with a home-cooked afternoon tea and show by 2.30pm.
The shows have been organised by arrangement with Origin Theatrical, and are directed by Vivienne Scott. For good food and good fun book now. For bookings phone Sue on 6556 9290 or 0405 449 060. Online bookings are also available. Check their website or Facebook page for more details.
