It’s some good news for Taree residents, with plans to install a Return and Earn reverse vending machine at Taree’s Manning Mall.

Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has been speaking with Manning Mall management about placing the container in the car park.
His office advised that this week the Tomra install team were in Taree and have agreement on the new location. The install team will run electricity to the side carpark before it gets resurfaced. The location has been marked out and is awaiting the final sign off to drop the reverse vending machine.

This announcement follows the installation of a machine at the Old Bar Tavern on March 8.
Since going live, almost 100,000 returns have been made at Old Bar.
Wingham residents will also receive a machine at the Wingham Services Club. The machine has arrived and residents will be notified when it is ready for use.
The Chatham newsagency is an over-the-counter collection point and will accept up to 100 containers per transaction.
At Stocklands Forster, the reverse vending machine outside Woolworths Forster went live on December 19 and has been well received by locals and visitors alike, with a total of 1,414,493 containers returned.
Across the State 169,846,304 containers have been collected as of March 23.
