Staff and students were armed with rubber gloves and recyclable bags to ensure the ground of the school became rubbish-free.
The day is designed to be a fun and engaging way to teach young Australians about responsible disposal of rubbish, resource recovery (recycling) and the repercussions of rubbish being dumped irresponsibly in our local environment (for example in our waterways and the ocean).
Since 1992, schools across Australia have been making a real difference to the environment and local community through participation in the annual event.
Over 2100 school sites registered for the event across the country.
