A woman has been charged over a fatal crash near Old Bar last month.

Emergency services were called to Old Bar Road, Old Bar, about 7.20pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, after a Ford Falcon and a Mazda 2 collided.
The driver of the Ford, a 40-year-old woman, was ejected from the vehicle. She was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition. She also underwent mandatory testing.
The Mazda driver, a 19-year-old woman, was trapped for some time before being released by rescue officers and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, where she died.
Following investigations by the Crash Investigation Unit, about 1pm Friday, February 23, a 40-year-old woman was taken to Waratah Police Station where she was charged with:
- Manslaughter
- Dangerous driving occasioning death
- Dangerous driving occasioning death whilst under the influence
- Negligent driving occasioning death;
- Possess prohibited drug
The woman was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Taree Local Court on Tuesday, March 13.
