Now, they are making their way through Taree, as part of the 125,000 kilometre journey.
Dirk and Trudy have undertaken the trip in an effort to raise money to support the worldwide work of SOS Children's Villages International.
Taree Historic Motor Club’s Mitch Taylor will be driving his own 1925 Ford Model T into town to greet the team when they arrive in Taree.
“At this stage we are tentatively looking at Wednesday, April 11 for their arrival, but I will post updates on the club website closer to the date,” Mitch said.
“The Model T World Tour team have nominated me as the representative for Taree, so all correspondence related to their visit should be directed to me personally.
“Local contribution to the cause will of course be highly appreciated.”
Full details of the visit will be posted on the Taree Historic Motor Club Inc website at http://www.thmc.info closer to the date, when dates become finalised.
