The fish are not extra-large but are mostly legal in size. Live yabbies are the top bait to use, while beach worms will also take fish.
Bream are still on the bite on mullet strips and yabbies. The time just before slack water produces the best catches,
Manning Point spur is the top spot for boat anglers to try. Flathead have not been plentiful but some fish have been caught. The up-river spots would be the best to fish. Live bait and soft plastics will take fish.
Tailor are still on the bite from the beaches. They are best fished on Crowdy beach above Second Creek. Small metal lures or pilchards will catch fish.
Outside is reasonable with snapper the main species caught. Flathead and trag have also been boated.
