“The return to school has so far been very smooth, with children being placed in temporary classes at present until our numbers are known and confirmed,” school principal Donna Bensch said.

“The children have returned to school very excited and eager to be with friends and to learn. It is wonderful to see their smiling, eager faces as I visit the classrooms and walk through the playground.”

The school has welcomed about 25 new year one to six students and 80 kinder students in the new year. 

The newly appointed school captains are Josh Hopkins and Jasmine Hill, with Bailey Deas and Connor Humphrey as vice captains.

School prefects are Breanna Colvin, Nithara Weththasinghe and Lilly McLeay, Ephraim Wolferstan, Tom Meredith, Matthew Bernes and Rory Murray. 

Sports captains and vice captains for 2018 are Crystal Jenkins, Chelsea Munro, Summa Anderson, Bella Dumas, Catelym Matuszny, Annika Scott, Huntah Lang-Callow, Hannah Dignam, Brock Taylor, Lachlan Prowse, Cameron Lyons, Cooper Richardson, Alex Hartup and Jack Sproul.
