While digging was being carried out in the front garden at the school, a Moorland Public time capsule was discovered.
The capsule was buried in the garden at the time of the 125 year anniversary of the school, to be opened at the 150 year anniversary in 2032.
The housing of the time capsule has been repaired and the prized package has been repainted.
For safekeeping, the capsule has been placed in the foyer of the Moorland Public School staff room to wait out the 14 years until its big moment arrives in 2032, where it will be opened at the 150 year celebrations and its contents will be enjoyed by staff and students.
A grant from Bunnings prompted the renovations, and consequently the exciting discovery.
