About 8.40am on Friday, February 9 Highway Patrol officers were conducting random breath testing in the Taree area when they stopped a 35 year old female driving with a P1 (red) licence.
The woman, who had just dropped her child to school, was subjected to a road side breath test which proved positive.
She was arrested and conveyed to Taree Police Station where she underwent breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.051. She was charged with low range drink driving and will appear in Taree Local Court in March.
Police have issued a reminder when you have a big night out.
“If you feel hungover, if you feel tired, if you feel sluggish there is a good chance that you shouldn't be behind the wheel,” police say..
Young drivers with a zero restriction could easily lose their licence just for thinking they are fine to drive. So think twice and if in doubt go to your Plan B.
