South West Rocks is playing host to the event for the third straight summer, and with the event moving to a new home from 2019, organisers are aiming for a stunning swansong.
The Macleay’s three surf clubs are primed and ready to battle it out and Port Macquarie with just over 100 competitors will alsop be well-representedf.
Competitors from areas as far away as Tathra will be taking part and last year’s winners, the Cudgen Headland SLSC will be out to do it all again in 2018.
In all, 40 clubs will be represented at this year’s event with some 1500 athletes expected to take to the start line.
