Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie congratulated the committee on its successful funding application to the Stronger Communities Program, which will provide assistance to improving facilities at the hall.
“The committee informs me that the new concert sound system will be installed to not only attract more local talent, but also a number of visiting Australian and International artists,” Dr Gillespie said.
“The community hall serves as the social hub in the Upper Lansdowne area with regular concerts, theatre dinners, matinees and craft groups all enjoying the facilities and I am delighted that funding of $3,000 has been made available towards the $6,210 cost of the new facilities.”
Round three of the program will provide $150,000 to the Lyne electorate.
