THOUSANDS of festival goers flocked to Tamworth’s Peel Street on Saturday morning for the annual Country Music Festival Cavalcade.

The street was blocked off as festival goers gathered to watch the event unfold.
Dozens of trucks and cars were dressed up in country themed settings and rolled their way through the city’s main street.
On board were the stars including locals and 2018 Golden Guitar hopefuls Ashleigh Dallas and Aleyce Simmonds.
The crowd cheered as local community groups, pipe bands and The Northern Daily Leader Queen Quest entrants made their way to the end of the procession.
Earlier in the morning seven of country music’s brightest stars and industry contributors were inducted into the Hands of Fame.
